Review: Dropbox
Dropbox is a simple Mac [Edit: and PC] utility that brings file sharing to a whole new level. With the free account, you’re allowed 2gb of online storage, and the software integrates with the Finder to make a perfect solution for bloggers, business or simple online backup.
The beauty of Dropbox is the integration. It automatically logs you in on startup, and the icon sits right in the top bar. A quick drag-and-drop later, and it’s off to the server. Right click the file and “Copy Public Link” to send to anyone with an internet connection.
Beyond these basic, free features is a paid service that will offer you 50 gb @$10/mo. If you’re interested, by signing up you’ll receive an extra 250mb of storage. This is an essential part of my blogging, and has come in handy many times when attaching it to email won’t cut it. Plus it’s much more secure than megaupload.

I also like Dropbox. Recently I found out how to get 2.25GB for free instead of just 2GB. When you sign-up use a ref link such as this one https://www.getdropbox.com/referrals/NTY5NDQzOQ
True thanks! I checked and I have 2.25 from being referred by whoever told me about it like months ago. who knew!
Great. thanks for the info.
By the way, where can I give constructive feedback to your site, design and posts?
I emailed you, but otherwise Contact tab.
Just installed it yesterday on my Windows machine. Great app, for what it is. I haven't given it much use yet, but I plan to in the future. Especially since I have to move a lot of files all the time.
no kidding there's a windows version?? very nice thanks for the heads up.
No problem dude. Test it out and see what you think next time you are on a Windows machine. Maybe you can make a note of that in the post above.
I've been using it for awhile now. Love it… great for sharing .zip files of stuff for the upcoming worship weekend with my volunteers.
for sure. do you use zip for mac or PC? which utility do you use? the one w/ my mac has kinda been freaking out.
I use YemuZip to create zip files on my mac. It's a simple drag and drop app
