Hey friends, Batterson’s book “Primal” was finally released today, which you of course can’t get before Christmas (Kindle Edition!), but I really recommend grabbing it by the new year.

Batterson goes through the four ways that we love God: Heart, Soul, Mind, and Strength. He really digs into each of them, using the metaphor of stairs descending down into the catacombs of our hearts. My favorite line is that we ought to be “great at the Great Commission,” a stirring statement for sure.

At first I thought, “He always writes about animals and ‘animalistic’ themes” but really, that’s what we need a lot of times! I’m pretty sure I *know* enough, probably more than many generations of Christians who took a stand and went for it. Perhaps we just need a forceful, primal reminder to get back to the basics and not make it terrifically complicated.

Well grab this book, it’s in stores now or from the Publisher

(Legally speaking, I have to mention that this book was given to me to be reviewed…)

I did the screen capture on my Mac Snow Leopard w/ Quicktime X. It’s super simple, just go to file > New Screen Capture. It even let me select my better microphone to do the audio. Super slick, worth the $30. A 3 minute capture was 20 mb, so the quality isn’t *super* high, but solid enough I suppose.

With the free account, you’re allowed 2gb of online storage, and the software integrates with the Finder to make a perfect solution for bloggers, business or simple online backup.

It automatically logs you in on startup, and the icon sits right in the top bar. A quick drag-and-drop later, and it’s off to the server. Right click the file and “Copy Public Link” to send to anyone with an internet connection.

Beyond these basic, free features is a paid service that will offer you 50 gb @$10/mo. If you’re interested, by signing up you’ll receive an extra 250mb of storage. This is an essential part of my blogging, and has come in handy many times when attaching it to email won’t cut it. Plus it’s much more secure than megaupload.
